To be considered for admission you must provide a University Entrance Qualification (UEQ) and choose one of three application tracks listed and detailed below.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;The University Entrance Qualification&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.5&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>The University Entrance Qualification<\/h3>\n<p>The central component of your application is a University Entrance Qualification enabling for direct access to study programs at <strong>German<\/strong> universities (UEQ). Without a UEQ, it is legally impossible to enroll. What constitutes a recognizable direct UEQ depends on various aspects (please see the <strong>Appendix <\/strong>below). We cannot assess whether your documents constitute a UEQ before you apply. We can only check your application documents <em>after<\/em> you submit your complete application. We will ignore any mail that asks us for an assessment of documents prior to an application.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that all your qualification documents (in particular certificates, examination results, and transcripts relating to your university entrance qualification) must be submitted with a certified translation by a sworn translator, unless they are already issued in English, German, or French.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Application Tracks&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Application Tracks<\/h3>\n<p>In addition to the UEQ you need to provide additional qualifications. You can do this in one of the following three tracks:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>You provide documentation of having successfully participated in a prestigious science\/informatics\/mathematics olympiad, and results from an English test.<br \/>(Please refer to the Appendix for the requirements for the <strong>English test<\/strong> and the <strong>olympiads<\/strong> we accept.) \u2192 <a href=\"#CS-custom-anchor-Olympiad-track\">Olympiad Track<\/a><\/li>\n<li>You provide the results of an aptitude test, and an English test (please refer to the Appendix for the requirements for the <strong>English test<\/strong> and the <strong>aptitude tests<\/strong> we accept.).<br \/>In addition, you take part in an interview which is codnucted via video conference. \u2192 <a href=\"#CS-custom-anchor-Aptitude-track\">Aptitude Track<\/a><\/li>\n<li>You submit a letter in which you describe your skills, competences and interests in line with the degree programs and participate in an <strong>ONSITE<\/strong> interview. The number of places for the onsite interview may be limited. \u2192 <a href=\"#CS-custom-anchor-Interview-track\">Interview Track<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note that you cannot apply for multiple tracks. You have to choose one when submitting your application. After you submit your application, you can no longer change between tracks.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Selection Criteria&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>Selection Criteria<\/h3>\n<p>After all documents you provided have been carefully examined, your UEQ grade will be combined with your track results into a score that gives you a position in a ranking of all participants. The application portal usually opens in December of the previous year. Our final application deadline is July 15 (interview track June 15) . However, if you want early feedback on your application (early accept), you can apply to one of the earlier &#8220;preliminary review deadlines&#8221;: January 15 or June 15. See the next section for details.<\/p>\n<p>After the final deadline, we review all applications within four weeks. Final decisions about acceptance\/rejections are communicated before August 31. The decision notification will include a formal confirmation letter. In case of acceptance, you will need this letter to enroll at the university. Please do not request status updates prior to this date. Note that if you want to apply in the interview track, <strong>you have to apply for one of the<\/strong> preliminary review deadlines (see below). In other words: <strong>The interview track is only available if you apply until June 15. After the final deadline, we will include you in the final ranking list of all applicants and you will get a notification until August 31.
