For the first time, this allows for a solid foundation for real trust in these new technologies in business, as well as in society, thus enabling a broad and valuable use of AI in all areas of application &#8211; even in security-critical scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>In the medium term, the CERTAIN centre is to be developed into a competence centre in Europe for trustworthy artificial intelligence (TAI) that is tightly networked in research, industry and society and that is visible from afar and will play a leading role in the research and development of highly reliable AI technologies and their applications.<\/p>\n<p>Right from the start, the new centre has been tightly networked with numerous partners on the Saarbr\u00fccken campus and within the DFKI, while at the same time building up a broad network: in the greater region, nationally and across Europe, in particular through the CLAIRE initiative.
