Didactics of Computer Science and Mathematics

Brief overview of the research field

Computer science didactics concerns itself with the development, testing, and evaluation of (teaching) material for the advancement of informatics education, as well as the further development of concepts for general informatics teaching, from the primary level up to the completion of secondary school.
In addition, it is responsible for the subject-related instruction and education of teaching students and the operation of a school laboratory, in which children and youths are offered a variety of opportunities to familiarize themselves with and deepen their knowledge about informatics phenomena.
